Celebrating Community: Creative Salmon’s Support for Van Isle 360° and Ukee Days

Creative’s Biology Technician Dave Bailey, Financial Controller Graham Aspinall, Biology Technician Rodrigo Leme, General Manager Tim Rundle, and Biology Manager Barb Cannon at the Van Isle 360° in Ucluelet in June.

As a strong advocate for community involvement and corporate giving, Creative Salmon continues to make a positive impact by supporting two local events: the Van Isle 360° International Yacht Race and Ukee Days.

On a sunny day in June, Creative Salmon donated and prepared salmon for the Van Isle 360° . This renowned yacht race attracts sailors from around the globe, showcasing their skills and passion for sailing.

Creative Salmon also donated and barbecued for Ukee Days in July as part of its commitment to community engagement. Ukee Days is a cherished annual Ucluelet festival that celebrates West Coast life. Creative Salmon’s involvement in this event spans over two decades and we continue to support it by providing delicious fish each year.

Abby Fortune, Director of Parks and Recreation at the District of Ucluelet, appreciates Creative Salmon’s longstanding support for Ukee Days. “Every summer, Ukee Days brings our community together. Creative Salmon has been an integral part of this event for over 20 years, donating product, labour, and time to help make the evening a hit.”

Community drives Creative Salmon, says Tim Rundle, Creative Salmon’s General Manager. “We believe in the power of community and giving back. These events are a chance for us to connect with our neighbours and make a positive impact.”
