Lisa Stewart and Ken Roberts proudly hold Creative Salmon’s OSSE certification.
In a testament to its unwavering dedication to safety, Creative Salmon has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the Occupational Safety Standard of Excellence (OSSE) certification through the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC.
Safety has always been a top priority for Creative Salmon, and a few years ago, the company took a proactive step to demonstrate that commitment by pursuing the OSSE designation.
“Working toward the designation helped us improve our safety programming, safety awareness and culture, and identify gaps and
areas that needed more work and attention,” says Lisa Stewart, Creative Salmon’s Communications, Human Resources, and Sustainability Officer.
With the successful safety audit behind them, Creative Salmon understands the journey is ongoing. They will conduct internal
maintenance audits in Spring 2024 and 2025 and invite an OSSE auditor back to the workplace in 2026. Recommendations from the recent audit are being used to build an action plan, guiding safety efforts for the upcoming year.
